ওয়াসার ব্যাখ্যা চান হাইকোর্ট

বাংলা নিউস রিপোর্ট ২৪: রাজধানীর বিভিন্ন এলাকা থেকে সংগৃহীত ওয়াসার পানির নমুনাতে ব্যাকটেরিয়া ও মলের অস্তিত্ব রয়েছে এ-সংক্রান্ত তথ্য উঠে আসার পর ওয়াসা কর্তৃপক্ষের বক্তব্য বা ব্যাখ্যা কী তা জানতে চেয়েছেন হাইকোর্ট।

এ বিষয়ে আগামী ২৪ জুলাইয়ের মধ্যে প্রতিবেদন আকারে আদালতে উপস্থাপন করার নির্দেশ দেয়া হয়েছে। একই সঙ্গে ওইদিন এ বিষয়ে শুনানির দিন ঠিক করেছেন আদালত।

রাজধানীর ওয়াসার পানির নমুনা পরীক্ষা-সংক্রান্ত প্রতিবেদন দাখিলের পর রোববার হাইকোর্টের বিচারপতি জে বি এম হাসান ও বিচারপতি মো. খায়রুল আলমের সমন্বয়ে গঠিত বেঞ্চ এই আদেশ দেন। আদালতে আজ শুনানি করেন ডেপুটি অ্যাটর্নি জেনারেল মোতাহার হোসেন সাজু।

রিটকারী আইনজীবী মো. তানভীর আহমেদ আদালতে উপস্থিত ছিলেন। স্থানীয় সরকার মন্ত্রণালয়ের গঠিত বিশেষজ্ঞ কমিটির প্রতিবেদনটি দাখিল করেন ডেপুটি অ্যাটর্নি জেনারেল মোতাহার হোসেন সাজু।

এর আগে গত ৩ জুলাই ঢাকা ওয়াসার ১০টি মডস জোনের মধ্যে চারটি এবং সায়েদাবাদ ও চাঁদনীঘাট এলাকা থেকে সংগৃহীত আটটি নমুনার পানিতে দূষণের তথ্যসংকান্ত প্রতিবেদন অ্যাটর্নি জেনারেল কার্যলয়ে জমা দেয়া হয়। প্রতিবেদনে এইসব এলাকার পানিতে ব্যাকটেরিয়া, উচ্চমাত্রার অ্যামোনিয়া পাওয়া গেছে এবং কিছু কিছু নমুনাতে মলের অস্তিত্ব পাওয়া গেছে বলে তথ্য উঠে আসে।

গত ২১ মে এক আদেশে ঢাকা ওয়াসার পানির উৎস, ১০টি বিতরণ জোন, গ্রাহকদের অভিযোগের ভিত্তিতে ১০টি ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ স্থান এবং দৈবচয়নের ভিত্তিতে ১০টি স্থান থেকে নমুনা সংগ্রহ করে তা পরীক্ষার নির্দেশ দিয়েছিলেন হাইকোর্ট।

ওই আদেশের ধারাবাহিকতায় ৩৪টি স্থান থেকে পানির নমুনা সংগ্রহ করে তা আইসিডিডিআরবি, বুয়েট ও ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অনুজীব বিজ্ঞান বিভাগের ল্যাবে পরীক্ষা করা হয়। এর মধ্যে আটটি নমুনাতে দূষণ পাওয়া যায়।

The High Court has asked the WASA authorities to explain what the bacteria and moles exist in the water samples collected from various areas of the capital.

The report found that bacteria, high ammonia found in water in these areas, and found out that mammals have been found in some samples.

On May 21, the High Court ordered the examination of Dhaka WASA water sources, 10 distribution zones, 10 risky places on the basis of complaints to the customers and 10 samples from the random basis on a random basis.

In the continuation of the order, samples of 34 samples collected from 34 places were examined by ICDSRB, BUET, and University of microbiology department. Of these eight pollutants are available.
