বাংলা নিউস রিপোর্ট ২৪: দেশের প্রতিটি ক্ষেত্রেই উন্নয়নের প্রভাব পড়তে শুরু করেছে এবং এটিরই ধারাবাহিকতা প্রসঙ্গে শিল্পমন্ত্রী নূরুল মজিদ মাহমুদ হুমায়ূন বলেন, দেশে লবণ উৎপাদনে স্বয়ংসম্পূর্ণতা অর্জন এবং আয়োডিন ঘাটতি পূরণের ক্ষেত্রে সরকার প্রতিশ্রুতিবদ্ধ।

২০১৮-১৯ অর্থ বছরের লবণ মৌসুমে লক্ষ্যমাত্রার চেয়ে রেকর্ড পরিমাণ লবণ উৎপাদন হয়েছে।  তা সম্ভব হয়েছে লবণ চাষিদের অক্লান্ত পরিশ্রম এবং সরকারের সার্বিক সহযোগিতার কারণে।শুক্রবার সকাল ১১টায় কক্সবাজারের একটি হোটেলে ‘লবণ চাষ ও অয়োডিনযুক্তকরণ: সর্বজনীন আয়োডিনযুক্ত’ শীর্ষক কর্মশালায় প্রধান অতিথির বক্তব্যে তিনি একথা বলেন।

শিল্পমন্ত্রী বলেন, জাতীয় লবণনীতি-২০১৬ অনুযায়ী দেশে ২০১৮-১৯ অর্থ বছর লবণের চাহিদা ১৬ দশমিক ৫৭ লাখ মেট্রিক টন এবং উৎপাদন লক্ষমাত্রা ১৮ লাখ মেট্রিক টনের বিপরীতে উৎপাদন হয়েছে ১৮ দশমিক ২৪ লাখ মেট্রিক টন।

‘চাহিদা ও লক্ষ্যমাত্রার চেয়ে বেশি উৎপাদন হওয়ায় বর্তমানে  দেশে লবণের কোনো ঘাটতি বা সংকট নেই। কাজেই ঈদুল আজহায় চামড়া শিল্পসহ সারা বছর ব্যবহারের পরও লবণ উদ্বৃত্ত থাকবে।

অনুষ্ঠানের বিশেষ অতিথি শিল্প প্রতিমন্ত্রী কামাল আহমেদ মজুমদার বলেন, আমদানি নির্ভরশীল না হয়ে দেশে গুণগত মানসম্মত লবণ উৎপাদন বাড়ানোর লক্ষে শিল্প মন্ত্রণালয়ের আওতায় বিসিকের মাধ্যমে নানামুখী উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করা হয়েছে। ইতোমধ্যে ইউনিসেফের সহায়তায় লবণ চাষের নতুন প্রযুক্তি পাইলটিং কার্যক্রম বাস্তবায়িত হচ্ছে।তিনি বলেন, নতুন প্রযুক্তি লবণ চাষিদের মধ্যে ছড়িয়ে দিয়ে দেশে অধিক পরিমাণ গুণগত মানসম্মত লবণ উৎপাদন সম্ভব হবে।

তিনি আরও বলেন, এখন পর্যন্ত আয়োডিনযুক্ত লবণ ব্যবহার সাধারণ মানুষের মধ্যে আশানুরূপ সচেতনতা সৃষ্টি হয়নি। তাই সরকারিভাবে নানা ধরনের উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করা হয়েছে যাতে অচিরেই দেশ থেকে আয়োডিনের অভাবজনিত সমস্যা নির্মূল হয়।

কর্মশালায় কক্সবাজারের লবণ চাষিরাও উপস্থিত ছিলেন। তারা সকলে তাদের সুবিধা-অসুবিধার কথা তুলে ধরেন সেখানে, এবং তাদের সকল কথা শুনে প্রতিমন্ত্রী তাদের   সমস্যার সমাধানের আশ্বাস দেন।

Regarding the continuation of the development of the country, industry minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun said the government is committed to achieving self-sufficiency in salt production and meeting the iodine deficit.

In the salt season of 2018-19 fiscal year, salt production has been produced more than target It was possible due to the hard work of salt farmers and the overall cooperation of the government.

In a speech at the workshop titled 'Salt farming and modernization: universal iodine' in a hotel at Cox's Bazar at 11am on Friday, he said this as the chief guest.

The minister said that according to the National Solar Policy-2013, the demand for salt in the country during the year 2018-19, 16.57 lakh metric tons and production target 18 lakh metric tons against 18 lakh metric tons.

'There is no shortage of shortage or crisis in the country due to higher production than demand and target. Therefore, Eidul will be a salt surplus after the use of leather industry all year round.

State Minister for Industry Kamal Ahmed Majumder said, "Without the dependent import, the country has taken a number of initiatives through BSCIC under the Ministry of Industries to increase the production of quality standard salt." Already, the new technology piloting program of salt cultivation is being implemented with UNICEF support.

He said the new technology will be able to produce more quality salt in the country by spreading new technologies among salt farmers.

He also said that the use of iodized salt has not created any hope for the people. So many different types of initiatives have been taken so that soon the iodine deficiency problem is eradicated from the country. Cox's Bazar salt farmers were also present in the workshop.

They all talked about their advantages and disadvantages, and the state minister assured them all to solve their problems after hearing all about them.
