পদ্মা সেতু নির্মাণ কাজের অগ্রগতি ৮১ শতাংশ

বাংলা নিউস রিপোর্ট ২৪: এ প্রকল্পের ভৌতিক অগ্রগতি ৭১ শতাংশ। এছাড়া জাজিরা সংযোগ সড়ক, মাওয়া সংযোগ সড়ক ও সার্ভিস এরিয়া-২ এর কাজ শতভাগ শেষ হয়েছে। নদীশাসনের কাজ ৫৯ শতাংশ শেষ হয়েছে।

আজ রবিবার জাতীয় সংসদ ভবনে অনুষ্ঠিত সড়ক পরিবহন ও সেতু মন্ত্রণালয় সম্পর্কিত সংসদীয় স্থায়ী কমিটির দ্বিতীয় বৈঠকে এ তথ্য জানানো হয়। আরো জানানো হয়, ওই সেতু প্রকল্প এলাকায় সবুজায়ন ও সৌন্দর্য বাড়ানোর লক্ষ্যে ব্যাপক উদ্যোগ নেওয়া হয়েছে। এজন্য সেতুর উভয় পাশে চলতি বছরের জুন পর্যন্ত এক লাখ ৬৯ হাজার ৯৫৭টি গাছ লাগানো হয়েছে।

সংসদীয় কমিটির সভাপতি মো. একাব্বর হোসেনের সভাপতিত্বে বৈঠকে কমিটির সদস্য সড়ক পরিবহন ও সেতুমন্ত্রী ওবায়দুল কাদের, এনামুল হক, মো. হাসিবুর রহমান স্বপন, মো. আবু জাহির, রেজওয়ান আহম্মদ তৌফিক, মো. ছলিম উদ্দীন তরফদার, শেখ সালাহউদ্দিন, সৈয়দ আবু হোসেন বাবলা ও রাবেয়া আলীম এবং সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্মকর্তারা উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

কমিটি সূত্র জানায়, বৈঠকে বিআরটিসির সার্বিক কার্যক্রম ও ভবিষ্যৎ কর্মপরিকল্পনা এবং সড়ক পরিবহন ও মহাসড়ক বিভাগ এবং সেতু বিভাগের আওতাধীন চলমান মেগা প্রকল্পসমূহের সর্বশেষ অবস্থা ও বাস্তবায়ন অগ্রগতি নিয়ে আলোচনা হয়।

এসময় সড়ক পরিবহন ও সেতু মন্ত্রণালয় বিভাগের পক্ষ থেকে জানানো হয়, পদ্মা সেতু প্রকল্প এলাকায় একটি যাদুঘর স্থাপনের কাজ চলমান রয়েছে। চলতি বছরের জুন পর্যন্ত ২০২৩টি নমুনা যাদুঘরে সংরক্ষণ করা হয়েছে।

বৈঠক শেষে কমিটির সভাপতি একাব্বর হোসেন সাংবাদিকদের জানান, পদ্মা সেতুর কাজ নিয়ে সন্তোষ প্রকাশ করেছে। আর বিআরটিসির ডিপো ম্যানেজারদের দায়িত্ব পালনে আরো বেশি স্বচ্ছতা ও জবাবদিহিতা নিশ্চিত করতে মন্ত্রণালয়কে প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যবস্থা নেওয়ার সুপারিশ করা হয়েছে। এছাড়া দেশের বিভিন্ন অঞ্চলে চলমান সড়ক পরিবহন ও মহাসড়ক বিভাগের কাজ দ্রæত ও টেকসই করার পরামর্শ দেওয়া হয়।
